The Regional Assembly of Oulu Region is a joint municipal authority consisting of 30 members. Politically elected officials are responsible for decision-making. The joint municipal authority shall: Regional Assembly<\/a>, the the Board of the Regional Assembly<\/a> and Audit Committee<\/a>.

The highest decision-making power is exercised by the Regional Assembly elected by the member municipalities.
