We carry out cross-border advocacy and cooperation in the Advisory Board of Eastern and Northern Finland and in various networks in the IP area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eastern and Northern Finland \u2013 Most of Finland<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The seven regions of Eastern and Northern Finland coserve as closely across regional borders and carry out advocacy activities. Common to South Savo, North Savo, North Karelia, Northern Ostrobothnia, Central Ostrobothnia, Kainuu and Lapland are, among other things, long distances, sparsely populated areas and long international land borders in cooperation in cooperation with our neighbouring countries. The safest border is the inhabited border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Advisory Board of Eastern and Northern Finland is a cooperative body established to deal in cooperation in cooperation with matters common to the regions of the region. In addition to the Regional Assemblys, the network also includes Members of Parliament from the region. The communicators of the Regional Assemblys of Eastern and Northern Finland also work closely together in communications and advocacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Advisory Board of Eastern and Northern Finland meets twice a year and organises an annual Eastern and Northern Finland Forum. In addition, the counties have joint projects, for example, related to the economic transition and transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Effects of forest changes are emphasised in Eastern and Northern Finland<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The regions of Eastern and Northern Finland account for 69 per cent of the total area of forest and peatland in the country. The relative importance of forestry is therefore greater than in the rest of the country, and thus the ecological, economic and social impacts of the changes taking place in the forest sector are also highlighted. On behalf of the regions of Eastern and Northern Finland, the Natural Resources Institute Finland investigated how the forests in the area have changed and what their future development could look like. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
