An employed person is a person who has worked at least one hour during the survey week to earn a salary or entrepreneurial income. A person temporarily absent from work during the survey week is also counted as employed if the reason for the absence is maternity or paternity leave, earnings-related parental leave, personal illness, holiday or working time arrangements; or if the period of absence is less than 3 months.
