Culture makers and subscribers meet at the Cultural Bank
The Cultural Bank brings together the creators of art and culture and the services they provide on a single online platform. From there, they are easy for everyone to find and order. Do as follows:
- If you are a professional art and culture maker, register with the Cultural Bank and create your own profile. Once published, add your own services. Remember to say in your own communication "I can also find me in the Cultural Bank" # Cultural bank.
- For example, if you are looking for content for your municipality, community or company, or even for your own family celebrations, you can find it at Culture Bank. Browse services, get inspired and order. You can register as a subscriber, in which case it is possible to submit an invitation to tender and make recommendations. There is supply for many purposes. For example, from performers to various events, from presenters to seminars, from experts in creative methods to workshops, from curating services to art ammo or from art gifts to friends.
- The use of the Cultural Bank is free of charge for both authors and subscribers.
The content of the Cultural Bank is gradually increasing and diversifying.
In Northern Ostrobothnia, the service is provided by the Regional Assembly of Oulu Region and the City of Oulu.

Project facts
The initial phase of the expansion of the Culture Bank was carried out in 2024-2025 with funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture. The central purpose of the project was to help municipalities carry out the task defined for them in Section 3 of the Cultural Activities Act, i.e. to create conditions for professional artistic work and activities. The project also increased artists' competence in the productisation of services, strengthened the transparency of procurement and the equality of artists in job offers, increased procurement cooperation between municipalities, wellbeing services counties and other buyers, and strengthened the accessibility and versatile use of culture. Since the project, 14 regions have continued to work together with their own funding.
Name of the project: Promoting the employment of artists and cultural workers through the Culture Bank online service.
Principal implementer: City of Tampere.
Project partners: City of Espoo (responsible for the Uusimaa region in cooperation in cooperation in cooperation with the Regional Assembly of Helsinki, Vantaa and Uusimaa), City of Turku and Regional Assembly of Southwest Finland, City of Lappeenranta and Regional Assembly of South Karelia, City of Kuopio and Regional Assembly of North Savo, Regional Assembly of Ostrobothnia, Regional Assembly of North Karelia and City of Joensuu, City of Mikkeli and Regional Assembly of South Savo, City of Oulu and Regional Assembly of Northern Ostrobothnia.
Execution period: From 1 August 2024 to 30 October 2025. Operations will continue after the project period in cooperation in cooperation with other funding.
