The Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia is a joint municipal authority formed by 30 municipalities in Northern Ostrobothnia.
Decision-making is based on municipal democracy and decision-making power in the union is exercised by the provincial council and the provincial government.
The Association's tasks include regional development, the preparation and drafting of regional development programmes and EU programmes in cooperation with other actors, regional planning, advocacy and promoting the region. We work together with various partners for the best of the region.
The Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia can apply for funding to implement projects that meet the objectives of the regional programme and EU programmes.
