Decisions made by public authorities are notified by publishing them on the website of the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia.
According to the Local Government Act, the decisions of municipal and joint municipal authority officials must be available on the public information network. The annexes to the decisions containing confidential information shall not be published.
A person dissatisfied with the decision may file a written appeal. In principle, the right to lodge a complaint lies with the person to whom the decision is addressed or whose right, obligation or interest is directly affected by the decision (the party concerned), as well as the member of the joint municipal authority and a municipal citizen. The rectification period and its expiry, as well as more detailed instructions, have been given in connection with the decision.
