The Regional Development and Finance Division implements the regional programme and is responsible for drawing up and updating the implementation plan of the regional programme. The Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia acts as an intermediate authority in the Renewable and Skilled Finland 2021-2027 EU Regional and Structural Policy Programme and the Sustainable Growth and Jobs 2014-2020 Structural Funds Programme. The Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia also provides national AIKOO and AKKE funding.
