Promoting well-being

In Northern Ostrobothnia, well-being is promoted through extensive cooperation and close interaction between different actors. The regional well-being ecosystem strengthens the well-being of people in northern Ostrobothnia in a way that operators alone would not achieve. Promoting well-being belongs to everyone.

The North Ostrobothnia Welfare Agreement 2019-2025 sets out the values of development work, the principles and objectives of cooperation, and the partnership promise. The agreement supports people-driven well-being management and co-creation at the strategic level of municipalities, as well as structural reform. The Welfare Agreement was signed at the Northern Ostrobothnia Welfare Forum in Ylivieska on 31 October 2019. The agreement highlights competence and education as a key factor in well-being. This led to the establishment of a regional network of civilization leaders.

Well-being forum and rewarding the well-being act

The Regional Welfare Forum gathers annually the actors involved in promoting the wellbeing and health of the region for a joint development event. The aim is to convey the latest researched knowledge and good practices, to increase cooperation and partnership, and to acknowledge successful practices.
