This accessibility statement applies to the service www.pohjois-pohjanmaa.fi and has been updated on 12 January 2026. The service is governed by the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019), which requires public online services to be accessible.
The accessibility of the service has been assessed by the county's communications and information management. The technical changes have been implemented by Verkkoasema Oy.
Technical accessibility issues (e.g. font, contrast, broken links, tag page title, typos, dialects, image files, videos, old documents, etc.) were updated in May 2024. The accessibility gaps identified since then have been remedied in October 2025.
The font used on our website is SignikaNegative.
Availability status of the digital service
The website of the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia has been built in accordance with the WCAG 2.0 criteria at AA level and meets the accessibility requirements of the Act mainly. When it comes to new content, we aim to take accessibility criteria into account immediately. We continuously observe issues related to the accessibility of the site and address the accessibility gaps found on the site and its content.
