Inclusion work

Inclusion work complements and renews the current welfare system. Inclusion is joining, being in relationships, belonging, community. Inclusion is compatibility and inclusion. It is about participation and influencing and democracy. It is also the organization and management of all of the above. Inclusion improves the absorption capacity and well-being of individual and community change.

The inclusion of young people requires both structural, social and psychological factors. Structural factors include resources, enabling institutions and opportunities for influence. Social and psychological factors include mutual social contacts and shared meanings and values. These are the factors we want to strengthen in the province.

Youth participation is promoted by the Youth Council of the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia (POPNUVA). The Organisational Advisory Board of Northern Ostrobothnia acts as the third sector cooperation body.
