Arctic Awards ceremony

Place: Lapland Hotel, Kirkkokatu 3, Oulu

Time: Wednesday 25 January 2023, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Arctic Awards is an annual project competition that highlights the achievements of projects carried out in the northern regions of the European Union. The aim of the competition is to identify good practices and promote cooperation between regions. The competition is organised by five cooperation programmes funded by the European Union: Northern Periphery and Arctic, Interreg Botnia – Atlantica, Interreg Nord, Kolarctic CBC and Karelia CBC.

The 2022 winner will be announced in Oulu on Wednesday 25 January 2023. The winners will be three finalists selected by the jury: Wasteless Karelias, GRUDE and FAIR. The winner will be selected by public vote. The finalists were chosen by the Finnish Ambassador to Barents and the Northern Dimension. Jari Vilén, Chairman Tinna Hallgrímsdóttir of the Icelandic Youth Environmental Association and Ossi Tornberg, Senior Specialist at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.
