EUI capacity building event pre-webinar
the EUI The National Contact Point, together with the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia and the City of Oulu, is organising an event aimed at developing the capabilities of Finnish cities in Oulu 19. – 20 May 2026.
The aim of the event is to strengthen the ability of Finnish cities to adapt to geopolitical changes and to take advantage of new opportunities in the areas of overall security and strategic autonomy in order to strengthen competitiveness.
The event is aimed at Innoka cities and all interested cities as well as key stakeholders
The pre-webinar will serve as an introduction to the upcoming event in Oulu (19-20.5)

The webinar focuses on the changing geopolitical situation in Europe and Finland. The geopolitical situation particularly affects the areas of overall security and strategic autonomy, but at the same time creates new opportunities and challenges. Inspiring stories from all over Europe, as well as views from the European Commission and Finnish representatives, will be presented at the event.
