Events

The European Day of Cultural Environments is celebrated in the second week of September, this year from 5 to 11 September 2022. However, events can be held throughout the year. This year's theme is A sustainable legacy.

The purpose of the Cultural Environment Days is to:
– to celebrate our unique cultural heritage;
– to see cultural heritage as a resource and a source of well-being;
– note the values of the immediate environment.

Welcome to the North Ostrobothnia info and ideation event on 2 May 2022 at 10-11:30 in the teams environment.  At the event, we will hear the following presentations:

• What cultural environment days are all about, why you should join in, what kind of event you can organise, what kind of help is available.
  Coordinator Riina Koivisto, Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities.
• Experiences of event collaboration from previous years and tips for the future.
  Regional architect Kirsti Reskalenko, Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia.
• Cultural Environment Days event example for the coming summer: Canoeing and rowing in living Iijoki 2022.
  Leo Siira, Living Iijoki ry.

After the presentations, there will be time for joint brainstorming and discussion about organizing events in Northern Ostrobothnia.

The event is aimed at the county's municipalities, local associations and other interested parties. The invitation may be forwarded; Send it to at least one of your partners. Welcome to come up with ideas and get excited together!
