Europe Day to discuss security and the future

This year, Europe Day will be celebrated on Saturday 9 May in Oulu, Finland, around themes of future and security. Speech by the Director of the Estonian International Defence and Security Centre Kristi Raik under the heading ‘Changing Europe – where are we now, where are we going tomorrow?’
After Raikki's speech, there will be a panel discussion, which will delve deeper into the topic from a northern perspective. The panel will also be attended by a member of the Committee of the Regions, Chairman of the Board of the Welfare Region Mirja Vehkaperä, Head of Service Sector, Oulu Chamber of Commerce Mari Viirelä, Member of the European Parliament Liisa Jaakonsaari and member of the EU Local Councillors Network, Regional Director Tarja Bäckman Haapavesi-Siikalatva Regional Development Centre.
