Culture supporting well-being webinar

Do you work in the social and health care sector or in cultural services? Are you interested in promoting well-being and health through culture? We welcome you to join the Culture for Welfare training programme organised jointly by the Pohteen Welfare Area's Strong Ark project and the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia.

The training describes what are the well-being effects of culture and how they can be promoted in practice in the work of professionals and in services aimed at customers. The event will answer the questions below. There is also room for questions and discussion.

  • What are the effects of art and culture on well-being? Anna-Mari Rosenlöf, Specialist in Cultural Welfare, Contact Point for Cultural Welfare at Taikusydä, Turku University of Applied Sciences
  • What is the concept of cultural well-being and how can it be utilized? Anna Nurmi, Project Specialist, City of Helsinki, multidisciplinary service concept for well-being and health promotion.
  • How is culture included in Pohteen Reittis website? Miia Aitta, Project Designer, Pohde.
  • Case example: How can I use culture in my work? Tanja Pätsi, work coach, Kuusamo, Pohde.
  • How do we promote cultural well-being in cooperation? Auli Suorsa, Specialist Culture, Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia.

The webinar will be opened and hosted by Hanna Säilynoja from Pohteen Strong Ark project. He or she will also respond to requests for additional information: Hanna Säilynoja, Strong Ark project, hanna.sailynoja@pohde.fi.

The event will be held remotely by Teams.
