You are warmly welcome to the Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism event organised by the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia, the National Board of Antiquities and the City of Kalajoki. The venue is the Cultural Centre Acoustics in Ylivieska. You can also participate in Teams remotely.

At the event, you will hear about international programmes and agreements in the field of cultural heritage and what opportunities they can offer for the joint development of the tourism and cultural heritage sector from the ground up.

Cultural heritage is not only an activity of museums, but also includes, for example, art, built environment and landscapes, food and drink culture, festive traditions and nature-related activities. The ‘live like a local’ trend of tourism is closely intertwined with living cultural heritage.

The event is aimed at those working in the field of cultural and cultural heritage tourism: tourism companies, museums, local actors and cultural and cultural heritage professionals, as well as representatives of municipalities in Northern Ostrobothnia. A wide range of cultural heritage actors are therefore welcome to participate in the event.
