Workshops on municipal climate plans
The Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia, in cooperation with the Canemure project, organises 4 events to support the preparation of municipal climate plans across the region.
-In future, municipalities will be required to have a climate plan at least once per council term.
-The Act amending the Climate Change Act (108/2023) entered into force on 1 March 2023.
-The municipal climate plan referred to in the Act (Section 14a) must be approved for the first time during the Council term starting no later than 2025.
-Municipalities may draw up the plan alone or in cooperation with other municipalities/regionally.
