Welcome on 15 November from 17:00 to 20:00 to experience the light artworks of the Northern Opera Company "On the Land of Black Waters" in Kempele on the unobstructed nature path of Vihiluoto (Vihiluoto 10, 90440 Kempele). The event is free and open to everyone. Remember to dress for the event according to the weather and take into account the slippery nature of the routes!

Produced by the Northern Opera Company, Marrastulet is an immersive series of events that spans four lake municipalities and includes light, music and installations. the Works of aglories and themes are darkness, death, well-being of mind, communality, hope, Light and plain. The municipalities have come up with the basic idea for the events. The Northern Opera Company brings artistic content to it. ”The experiential site-specific series of works explores the aesthetics of everyday but forgotten places through art and wades on the lands of black waters," says Jonna Pulkkinen, producer of the Northern Opera Company. 

The events will take place in four different locations. Each of them has the same set of works, utilizing the unique features, stories and legends of the place. In Kempele, the works and event are being built by the people of the Vihiluoto village association and the municipal staff. The event is a side event of the Wellbeing Forum, which takes place on the same day.

Sat 18.11. Liminka / Alakestilä Arboretum at 16-19
Sat 25.11. Lumijoki / Varjakka 15-18
