calls for applications and deadlines for the new and competent Finland 2021-2027 programme
The North Ostrobothnia Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment will open several project applications in 2025. The company's development grants (ERDF TL1 and TL2 and JTF) can be applied for continuously from 13 January to 30 November 2025. The application period for research and development projects for SMEs and the utilisation of new technology in Northern Finland is 13.1-28.2.2025 and 3.3.-30.4.2025. Operating environment development grant for business networked projects is open 3.2-31.3.2025 . In addition, the application period for company development grants will open in March-April under the theme of sustainable development or digitalisation.
The next ERDF application period for the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia is 17.2. – 11 April 2025, amounting to approximately EUR 6.7 million. The application period for sustainable urban development will open in the spring and the authorisation is EUR 1 million.
Search status
The Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of Northern Ostrobothnia has processed JTF project applications related to employment and skills received between 30 August and 28 November 2024. Eleven applications of the JTF's ESF type were received for North Ostrobothnia, in which a total of approximately EUR 2.6 million is applied for support. In addition, two cross-regional JTF ESF-type applications were received for Northern Ostrobothnia, and the total amount of applications for support is approximately EUR 0.4 million. By 16 December 2024, four JTF ERDF applications related to restoration and reuse were received, claiming around EUR 1.2 million. In addition, two applications for a fixed-term operating environment development grant were received in North Ostrobothnia between 2 September and 29 November 2024.
The eighth call for ERDF projects for the 2021-2027 programming period of the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia closed on 30 November 2024. During the application period, 55 applications were received by the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia. The applications applied for funding totalling approximately EUR 18.41 million. The solutions for applications progressing to positive further processing will be received in February 2025.
Runway for Growth - Results of the project application process for company development and internationalisation studies in North Ostrobothnia and the status of the application process for company development grants in North Ostrobothnia
By the end of 2024, a total of EUR 363,582 was applied for the Growth Runway grants. There were 12 applications in total. A total of EUR 6 874 073 in ERDF development grants has been applied for by 7 January 2025. A total of 51 applications have been received. The company's JTF development grants have been applied for a total of EUR 8 772 553 and a total of 67 applications have been received.
The Secretariat of the Provincial Cooperation Group supports 13 projects to be funded under the Renewable and Skilled Finland 2021-2027 programme
At its meeting, the Secretariat of the Provincial Cooperation Group discussed 21 projects. Of these, 13 projects are proposed for funding. Eight projects received a negative decision. The projects have been presented to the secretariat of the Provincial Cooperation Group Protocol.
