Meeting newsletter of the Northern Ostrobothnia Regional Cooperation Group
The meeting of the Northern Ostrobothnia Regional Cooperation Group was held on Wednesday 18 May in Rokua, which is a key destination for the development of tourism in Northern Ostrobothnia. At the beginning of the meeting, Regional Director Pauli Harju briefly presented the state of play of the JTF package and border programmes.
After that, Humanpolis Oy's current CEO Mikko Kiuttu presented Rokua's development and project activities in his video greeting. Kiuttu emphasized the importance of development projects. The discussion continued on the spot in cooperation with Project Manager Mari Saastamoinen.
The Regional Assembly of Oulu Region has a grant authorisation of more than EUR 2.5 million
The regional cooperation group decided to transfer EUR 2,516,000 to the Regional Assembly of Northern Ostrobothnia to grant authorisation for the Structural Fund Programme for Leverage from the EU 2014-2020 of the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of Northern Ostrobothnia.
Other issues
Supporting sustainable growth and vitality of regions (AKKE) and Regional Innovation and Experimentation (AIKOO) –Applying for funding The Regional Assembly of Oulu Region is now open. The application process for the AKKE allocation has become a continuous application process.
The EAFRD progress report was postponed to the next meeting.
