Five applicants will be interviewed for the position of Regional Director of Northern Ostrobothnia
Eleven applicants sought the post of Regional Director of the Regional Assembly of Oulu Region. At its meeting on 16 January 2023, the the Board of the Regional Assembly decided to invite the following persons to the interview:
Kimmo Hinno, Mayor, City of Haapavesi
Jyrki Kaiponen, Regional Director, Regional Assembly of Central Ostrobothnia
Ann-Mari Kemell, State Secretary, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment
Tiina Rajala, Development Director, Regional Assembly of Oulu Region
Jussi Rämet, Mayor, Municipality of Muhos
The interviews will be held on 24 January 2023, followed by any personal assessments. According to the agreed schedule, the Regional Assembly will elect the Region Mayor on Monday, 13 March 2023.
The current Regional Director of Northern Ostrobothnia, Pauli Harju, has resigned as of 31 March 2023. As of 1 February 2023, Markus Erkkilä, Director of Planning, will act as the Vs. Region Mayor.
