Cultural well-being webinar
The Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia has started drawing up a provincial cultural development programme. At the beginning of the work, we will implement a series of three webinars and workshops, the first of which will deal with the possibilities of culture in promoting well-being and health. We will have three experts in the field as initialists:
- Professor Kai Lehikoinen works at the University of the Arts Helsinki as Director of the Research Centre for Art Education (CERADA) and Deputy Director of the Arts Equal project. Lehikoinen's research is related to the meanings and interpretation of performances and the means of art to strengthen well-being in society. In the ArtsEqual project, she studies the availability and accessibility of art from the perspectives of cultural rights and cultural well-being. In the webinar, Lehikoinen outlines the possibilities and role of art as a basic service and as a builder of well-being and health now and in the future.
- Leena Pimperi-Koivisto chairs the Oulunkaari joint municipal authority and chairs the North Ostrobothnia Welfare Cooperation Group. The joint municipal authority organises and produces the social and health care services of its five members. As part of them, the joint municipal authority has boldly started to experiment with art-based methods in different contexts. Pimperi-Koivisto talks about the activities, their results and discusses with which recipe art could achieve a natural status as part of the activities of the health and social services sector.
- Janne Jääskelä is an artist, art pegog and a trained care musician and much more. In her introduction, Janne discusses the diversity of the artist's roles now and in the future, and what it takes for the artist to work in the care and care sector.
After the speeches, we will draw a picture of the best possible Northern Ostrobothnia, where art and culture are a natural part of people's well-being, care and care.
The webinar will take place in a Teams environment. The participation link will be sent to those who have registered by e-mail before the event.
