Cultural impact on well-being and health - seminar in Northern Ostrobothnia
Welcome to hear and discuss the impact of culture and art on well-being and health!
About how cultural well-being would be even stronger in creating good life and health for people in northern Ostrobothnia. How it could be a more integral part of service production. How different parties could work more closely together.
The morning session includes presentations related to the theme. Speakers include neuroscientist, dancer Hanna Poikonen and researcher, music therapist Taru-Anneli Koivisto. Koivosto has recently studied the work and expanding professionalism of musicians in the Finnish health care system. He is also involved in the ArtWell research project, which develops methods for the economic evaluation of cultural well-being activities and draws up recommendations for further development of methods. Poikonen's research focuses on the effects of dance and watching dance in our brains; Especially in areas of the brain related to emotions, memories and social interaction.
You can also follow the seminar as a live stream via this link!
