Marrastulet is an immersive series of events created by the Northern Opera Company, which includes light, music and installation.  the Works of agums and themes are darkness, death, well-being of mind, communality, hope, Light and plain. Local stories have also been used in the works. In Tyrnävä, the artists have been told, among other things, by Pömilä's papas.

 ”The experiential site-specific series explores the aesthetics of everyday but forgotten places and wades on the lands of black waters," says the Communications Officer of the Northern Opera Company. The artwork has been named ‘For land in black waters’. 

The works are located in four municipalities.The event venues will come to life for three hours at a time during November. In each place, the same work is carried out, applied site-specifically, according to the unique characteristics of the places. The venues and times are:

The Marrastulet art pilot is part of the Cultural Cell project of the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia, which is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.

In cooperation with the municipalities of Liminka, Kempele, Lumijoki and Tyrnävä, Varjakka village association, Vihiluoto village association, Pömilä, Sippibaari papat & Tupos hunting and fishing association.
