Invitation to the Welfare Forum

The North Ostrobothnia Wellbeing Forum, organised for the thirteenth time, will be held remotely in the Teams environment on Tuesday 13 October 2020 from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.  The event will be hosted by the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia and the municipality of Taivalkoski.

Every meeting in North Carolina is an opportunity.

Being heard and opportunities for self-participation are the foundation of well-being for all of us. It is important that we are taken into account through our individual needs. The theme of this year's well-being forum is inclusion and strengthening it as a factor of well-being. We pay special attention to the well-being of the mind and to experience agency.

The event conveys the latest information and good practices, increases participation and partnership, strengthens competence and recognises successful practices. The event rewards the well-being act of the year, which is selected in an inclusive way in real time.

The programme includes, for example, Arto O. Salonen. He is one of the sharpest lyricists of social change in Finland. Salonen is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies at the University of Eastern Finland and a member of the Finnish Expert Panel on Sustainable Development.
