Meeting press release of the regional cooperation group
The meeting of the North Ostrobothnia Regional Cooperation Group was held on Wednesday 16 February.
Project presentation: Go global – invest and export Oulu
Petri Karinen and Sanna Savolainen from BusinessOulu presented BusinessOulu's activities and the Go global – invest and export Oulu project. BusinessOulu, together with other regional developers, develops international Oulu and the region of Northern Ostrobothnia. Export measures and the international know-how and development of companies and organisations are key to the success and strong growth of companies in the global market.
Business Finland and RRF
Teija Pakanen presented Business Finland's operations. Business Finland is a key player in the practical implementation of the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). Recovery funding promotes the renewal of the industrial structure and the competitive advantage of Finnish companies based on sustainable solutions. Business Finland has been proposed to grant authorisation for approximately EUR 530 million of Finland's sustainable growth programme.
Current state of the regional development debate and priorities for development
Tiina Rajala, Development Director of the Regional Council of North Ostrobothnia, presented the process of regional development discussion and the highlights of development. The initial development discussion will produce a cooperation document between the Government and the provinces.
Climate road map of Northern Ostrobothnia
Ritva Isomäki, Specialist of the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia, presented the climate road map of Northern Ostrobothnia and its priorities.
The next meeting of the regional cooperation group will be held on 16 March 2022.
