Decisions of the provincial government
The Regional Government of the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia held a meeting on Monday, 17 May 2021.
Northern Ostrobothnia's administrative rules are being reformed
The provincial government proposes to the provincial council that it approves the new administrative regulation of the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia. The new administrative regulation meets the requirements of the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia's strategy 2020-2024 and up-to-date legislation. The new administrative regulation takes into account changes in the organisation of the Regional Council. Instead of the office, the provincial council has an office. In the future, the profit areas and profit area directors will be responsibilities and responsibility directors. The position of Administrative Director will be changed to Administrative and Human Resources Director. The duties and powers of the Provincial Government and senior officials have been defined in more detail in the Administrative Regulation. The rules on the remuneration of trustees have been revised in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Provincial Government in March.
Northern Ostrobothnia provincial programme progressing as planned
The Provincial Government proposes to the Provincial Council that it take note of the state of play of the Provincial Programme 2022-2025 and hold a referral discussion on the matter. The preparation of the programme has proceeded in accordance with the work plan. The provincial programme will be subject to approval by the provincial council in autumn 2021. Low impact of COVID-19 on the joint municipal authority's finances
The provincial government received an overview of the development of the financial situation of the joint municipal authority. Operating expenses for January-April totalled approximately EUR 1.5 million. 33% of the budget outturn. The effects of the coronavirus epidemic are particularly visible in low travel and food service costs. The figures do not include the ERDF and ENI programmes or projects managed by the Association.
Evaluation report 2020
The Provincial Government received the evaluation report for 2020 prepared by the Audit Board for information. The evaluation report is processed by the Provincial Council in connection with the processing of the financial statements.
Change of members of the provincial council
The Muhos municipal council has granted Pasi Brotkin a resignation from the regional council of the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia and elected Ville Rauhio as the new deputy member of the regional council. The provincial government took note of the matter and forwards it to the provincial council to take note of it.
