Work package 1: Vision work – Establishing strategic objectives for wind power generation and the siting of wind power
- The work package creates a common will and strategic goals for the development of wind power in Northern Ostrobothnia.
- The section emphasises the mapping of views related to wind power and dialogue between different stakeholders. There is a need for dialogue in cooperation with municipalities and authorities, municipal residents and stakeholders in the wind power sector.
- The work package will be implemented through extensive stakeholder cooperation. The work is carried out, for example, at stakeholder events and using various electronic interaction tools.
- Based on the current situation and development potential in Northern Ostrobothnia, the section prepares a regional target picture for wind power. The opportunities for development, the framework conditions and the needs for coordination in different parts of the region are examined.
- Creating a vision is a process that makes it possible to bring different perspectives on wind power to the discussion and to create a common understanding of issues related to wind power construction.
- The vision work provides a starting point for the implementation of work package 2.
