Northern Periphery and Arctic 2021-2027 Interreg 2nd call open from 5 October to 5 December 2022
The second call for applications for the Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme has been opened.
On 8 September 2022, the European Commission approved the new Interreg NPA programme, thereby definitively setting out its priorities and objectives. On this basis, at the end of September, the Monitoring Committee was able to close the first eight projects to be funded and to open a second round of actual project applications.
In this call, project applications can be submitted to all priority axes:
Priority axis 1: strengthening the innovation capacity of resilient and attractive NPA communities;
Priority axis 2: strengthening the capacity of NPA communities to adapt to the impacts of climate change and to ensure the sufficiency of raw materials.
Priority axis 3: strengthening the capacity of NPA organisations to exploit the potential for cooperation in the region.
Axis 1 and Axis 2 projects should develop tangible and sustainable results with a positive impact on the target groups in the programme area.
Priority axis 3 is looking for small-scale projects that strengthen cooperation capacity and develop the ability of regional actors to make better use of the opportunities for cooperation and thus build transformative communities in the NPA area. Projects may also aim to increase and strengthen the participation of groups under-represented in the programme (young people, indigenous communities) so that they will be able to act as partners in the projects themselves in the future. In particular, this call will look for projects that develop young people's ability to participate in transnational cooperation.
The programme will organise a webinar for project planners on 19 October from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will provide an opportunity to discuss a project clinic with a representative of the Programme Secretariat between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. on 20 and 21 October.
