Answer the North Ostrobothnia food strategy survey and have an impact on the future of the food economy!
In Northern Ostrobothnia, the food economy strategy is currently being updated, and now we invite you to join us in building a shared vision for the future of the sector.
The food economy is an important industry for the region, and its development can strengthen the region's competitiveness, profitability, security of supply, sustainability and vitality. The aim of the strategy work is to identify the most important development needs and measures for the coming years to strengthen the functioning of the entire food system from primary production to processing and from distribution to consumers. The regional strategy update will be linked to the goals of the National Food Strategy (2040).
– As part of the preparation of the strategy, a survey will be carried out to gather views on food economy priorities, objectives and measures for the development of the food system. The preliminary themes and proposed actions presented in the survey are based on previous operator interviews and workshops, to which you now have the opportunity to submit comments and new views and suggestions., tell the Regional Development Manager working on the strategy update Laura Kelhä and trainee Marika Koskela-Kontu.
Together we can build a stronger, more competitive and more sustainable Northern Ostrobothnian food system. We therefore want answers from food chain companies, producers, developers, training and research organisations and other operators in the field as widely as possible. Each answer will help to better orient strategy work towards the real needs and opportunities of the sector.
The responses will be used in the further preparation of the strategy and in the orientation and prioritisation of measures. Regional strategy work is coordinated by the North Ostrobothnia Food Economics Working Group, which has diversely represented actors from different perspectives of the food system.
