The organizational session discussed the organizational grants and their effectiveness

For the first time, the North Ostrobothnia Welfare Area, or Pohde, is conducting a grant application for organisations. During the organisation session, project planner Helena Liimatainen told about the grant practices and encouraged organisations to submit applications. He instructed the applicants to familiarise themselves with the welfare area's strategy and organizing plan, as the assisted activities must support and supplement the services that the welfare area is responsible for organizing. Before applying, associations should also review their own rules. Grants can be applied for by various associations, but the rules must include a record of the task of promoting health and social well-being or safety. Municipalities also continue to award organisational grants. No double grants may be awarded. Therefore, it is important to specify the allocation of grants in the application and to present the activity as a whole.

“As the year changes, we are all on the verge of something new”. This would be said by Elina Vehkala, Director of Education, and Elina Huurre, Director of Culture and Recreation, from the municipality of Tyrnävä. At the start of the project, the field of actors will diversify, but the role of municipalities Welfare work remains central. Organisations and associations are also important partners for municipalities. Models for interface work between different actors will be built through practical work. In their own speech, Elina Vehkala and Elina Huurre emphasised the importance of open dialogue, encounters and cooperation between actors. They create trust, which is one of the key factors in increasing the effectiveness of well-being work. It is an important issue at the municipal level, in cooperation between municipalities and in activities at the level of the whole province.

The recording of the association session was available for viewing until 14 December 2022 .
