INVITATION to the workshop - Regional specificities in adaptation to climate change in Northern Ostrobothnia
Northern Ostrobothnia is preparing a climate change adaptation plan - get involved!
What specific features of North Ostrobothnia or your organisation should be taken into account in the climate change adaptation plan currently being drawn up? Which actions best support practical adaptation work and preparedness?
The Finnish Environment Institute and the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia Organise four events with the same content to define the priorities and special features of the province's adaptation.
The aim is to identify challenges and opportunities, strengthen regional cooperation and build networks to promote a climate-resilient future.
The events are aimed at public, private and third sector operators in Northern Ostrobothnia.
The programme shall:
-expert presentations on adaptation work at different levels of government
-latest research data on the effects of climate change in the region
Group work and discussion
Events will be held present at events, and participants are provided with lunch and coffee.
There are 30 seats per event and registration is open Until 1.9.2025. You can participate in any event, regardless of your destination.

- 7.10.2025 Siikalatva 11:45-15:30 - Pulkkilantie 4, Pulkkila Council Hall (Haapajärvi, Haapavesi, Kärsämäki, Nivala, Pyhätä, Pyhäjärvi, Reisjärvi, Sievi, Siikalatva)
- 8.10.2025 Ylivieska 11:45-15:30 – Kartanotie 3, Hotel Visiitti (Alavieska, Kalajoki, Merijärvi, Oulainen, Pyhäjoki, Raahe, Siikajoki, Ylivieska)
Opportunities are part of the IISOPPI Project, financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
