POPNUVA project to promote the growth and inclusion of young people
Well-being and participating young people are municipalities and the largest vitality and competitiveness factor in the province. It is natural that young people in the province of young people can influence their own future and what kind of place North Ostrobothnia is to live and live in the future. The Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia has received grants from the Regional State Administrative Agency for Northern Finland (PSAVI/4806/2020) for the development of local and regional activities in the field of youth.
The POPNUVA – Involving and influencing young people project has now started to promote the growth, independence and inclusion of young people from Northern Ostrobothnia in society.
The project:
- Developing the operating model and working methods of the Northern Ostrobothnia Youth Council
- strengthening the participation and advocacy skills of regional and local youth councils, municipal youth services, decision-makers and office-holders;
- experimenting and developing participation and influencing structures and operating methods.
The project is managed by the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia and implemented by the municipality of Tyrnävä. The steering group was organised on 16 October 2020. The meeting approved, among other things, a detailed action plan for the project. The implementation period is until the end of 2021.
The Northern Ostrobothnia Youth Council will be organised on Tuesday, 1 December 2020.
