Cultural well-being support package for municipalities in Northern Ostrobothnia published
The municipalities of Northern Ostrobothnia will soon have access to support packages in cooperation with information and tips on the themes of promoting well-being and health. The first of these is the cultural well-being package and the video leading to it.
Over the past few years, culture has grown strongly into a part of development work and practical actions in the broad spectrum of well-being and health promotion. The same is true of Northern Ostrobothnia. The effects of culture on well-being are well-recognised and well-recognised. There is already a wealth of information and practical experience available. In order for the necessary information to be conveyed in an easy form to practical stakeholders in municipalities, it has now been worked on into a concise form of support package. From there, municipalities can pick up information and tips according to their own needs as part of their operations. Additional help is available from the Northern Ostrobothnia Cultural Welfare Network (POPku).
The purpose of the support package is to strengthen the role of culture and cultural stakeholders in the well-being work and management of the municipalities of Northern Ostrobothnia. Municipalities are provided in cooperation with information and ‘tools’ for different levels of activity. Naturally, the aim is also that the good life of people in northern Ostrobothnia will increasingly be built by means of culture and art.
The support package has been compiled by Auli Suorsa from the Regional Assembly of Oulu Region in cooperation in cooperation with the Northern Ostrobothnia Cultural Welfare Network (POPkulta).
All support packages prepared in the Northern Ostrobothnia Welfare Cooperation (POPhyte) are compiled on the website of the Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital District. The cultural well-being package and video can also be found on the website of the Regional Assembly of Northern Ostrobothnia.
The support packages were made for the first time and are an educational experiment. In the future, similar packages should be made every four years.
