Kuusamo Summer Oasis has won the Northern Ostrobothnia Welfare Act of 2020 award at the Northern Ostrobothnia Welfare Forum on 13 October 2020. Applications for funding under the first call for applications under the "Sustainable growth and vitality of regions" (AKKE) envelope have been processed. On 30 September 2020, the regional cooperation group approved the coronavirus action plan for Northern Ostrobothnia.
