ERDF call closed

The application period for the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) ended on 4 September 2020 in Northern Ostrobothnia.

By the deadline, 30 applications were received by the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia.  Four applications were received for the policy area Competitiveness of SMEs and 26 for the policy area Production and utilization of new knowledge and expertise.

A total of EUR 7 758 064 was requested for development projects in the applications. The funding available is approximately EUR 1.5 million.

Application period for ERDF funding open until 30 September 2026

The ERDF call for applications for the 2021-2027 programming period of the Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia is open until 30 September 2026! In this call for applications, ERDF applications will be accepted in accordance with the following specific objectives: 1.1. Improving research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies 2.3. Promoting the transition to a circular economy 3.1. Developing regional and local accessibility A total of EUR 2 820 000 is planned to be used to finance incoming projects. The maximum contribution requested (ERDF+Member State) is 70 % development project and up to 70 % the total cost of the investment project. Before preparing your application, you should read more about the Renewable and Skilled Finland 2021-2027 programme document and the contents of the above-mentioned specific objectives. Projects financed under Specific Objective 1.1 must also be in line with the Northern Ostrobothnia Smart Specialisation Strategy 2021-2025. The Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia's ERDF project selection emphasises the promotion of development targets in accordance with the provincial programme for Northern Ostrobothnia 2026-2029 and the provincial implementation plan for security of supply and comprehensive security. In addition, the assessment of applications under priority axis two focuses on their suitability as a project under the Northern Ostrobothnia Climate Roadmap 2021-2030. The 8th call for applications for the AKKE grant has ended

Funding was requested for AKKE projects that focus on supporting regional RDI activities. Projects funded under this call should meet at least one of the following criteria: - the project supports research, development and innovation activities of SMEs and thus improves the innovation capacity of SMEs - the project strengthens the innovation ecosystem of the region - the project expands the number of parties involved in RDI activities The maximum amount available to fund projects received in the application round is EUR 448 000. The total number of project applications was 14 and the total amount requested was approximately EUR 950 000.

Funding is being applied for AKKE projects that focus on supporting regional RDI activities

Projects funded under this call must meet at least one of the following criteria: - the project supports research, development and innovation activities of SMEs and thus improves the innovation capacity of SMEs - the project strengthens the innovation ecosystem of the region - the project expands the range of parties involved in RDI activities The application period is from 22 April 2024 to 30 August 2024 at 15.00. AKKE - Call opens in December

The appropriation for supporting the sustainable growth and vitality of the regions (AKKE) will be used, in accordance with the decisions of the regional councils, for projects promoting the implementation of the regional programme and the Government's regional development decision. This appropriation may be used, for example, for small-scale development, experimentation and study projects based on regional strengths and specialisation. The fourth application round for AKKE (Regional Fund for Sustainable Growth and Vitality) is open from 1 December 2021 to 31 January 2022. Read more here !
