The Kanves - international and networked Northern Ostrobothnia project has started
Keeping up in cooperation in cooperation with international development requires active networking and participation in international project consortia. The project provides information on international funding applications and support for the preparation of applications. The aim of the project is to increase the number of internationally funded projects in Northern Ostrobothnia and to activate innovation stakeholders to participate actively in international consortia that take into account the needs of the local business community and the utilisation of the high level of expertise found in the region.
Cooperation in cooperation within the region is developed by maintaining already established networks in cooperation with smart specialisation and international stakeholders. Northern Ostrobothnia has joined several Smart Specialisation Thematic Partnerships and new partnerships remain possible. The Regional Assembly of Oulu Region and the best experts from the Northern Ostrobothnia region represent the region in S3 partnerships.
The aim of the project is to reduce differences in innovation activity in cooperation within the region and to create operating models that encourage the cross-sectoral networking of innovation stakeholders in the region, nationally and internationally, enabling the creation of new openings.
The project also aims to raise awareness among regional stakeholders about European cluster cooperation networks and the quality system created for clusters. One goal is also to raise awareness of the services offered by the region's innovation platforms and to be responsible for implementing the smart specialisation strategy in Eastern and Northern Finland in Northern Ostrobothnia.
In the project's measures, cooperation networks in the region will be increased by organizing regular meetings and events between the stakeholders. The aim in organizing the events is to take into account the interdisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity, which creates opportunities for the creation of new innovative openings. The aim is to reach out to stakeholders across the region. Physically organised events are complemented by shorter webinars and videos presenting, for example, the innovation platforms of the region. Smart Specialisation Networks for Powering Metal 3D Printing Webinar
Indicative programme:
Opportunities and exploitation of international and national 3D printing networks, exploitation of 3D printing of metals – business speeches, technologies and materials for additive manufacturing of metals, and presentation information on different funding sources.
The event is co-organised by the EU's regional development-funded Production 2027 and Kanves projects.
