By law, the Regional Council has a central role and responsibility in planning the strategic entity of regional development in the region. Strategic planning refers to regional development as a whole, for which the Regional Council is responsible for the process and coordination of cooperation. In addition, the Regional Council is responsible for the implementation of the objectives set in the planning.
