Arctic Europe - cooperation supports the objective of Northern Ostrobothnia to be a strong Influencingr in the European Arctic and the Bothnian Arc. Arctic Europe is an action concept launched at the initiative of the City of Oulu, which aims to create a synergy ecosystem for cross-border cooperation between the key regions of Arctic Europe. The aim is to strengthen the vitality and sustainable growth of the entire Arctic region.
The themes of cooperation are:

- Improving infrastructure and accessibility

- Joint communication, marketing and international visibility
Cooperation in cooperation in cooperation with the UAE Emirate of Sharjah
The Regional Assembly of Oulu Region signed a letter of intent on cooperation the American University of Sharjah in cooperation in cooperation with us in 2017.
