Europe Day was celebrated on 9 May. In Oulu, in celebration of Europe Day, the Pop-up Bistro Á sector France from 9 to 10 May 2025 was opened in cooperation between the Northern Ostrobothnia Info Point and OSAO's educational restaurant Hiliku.
Pop-up Bistro Á sector France was open for two days from 9 to 10 May and was run by students of the Hiliku teaching restaurant. Bistro's catering was prepared by them and the students also took care of the practical arrangements of the bistro.
Students' Pop-up Bistro Á sector France celebrated Europe and Finland as part of it. This was reflected in the pop-up bistro offering; I found some French delicacies on the list. The international atmosphere was created by serving bistro delicacies straight to the tables!
Pop-up Bistro Á sector France also offered live music. Music duos Nanna Louhela & Elias Niskanen and Marianna Niinimaa & Juuso Luokkola performed every hour on both Friday and Saturday. The programme was organised by the Northern Ostrobothnia EU Information Point.

European Day of Languages, 26 September
The European Day of Languages is celebrated on 26 September. To celebrate the day, the Northern Ostrobothnia EU Information Point will participate in an event organised jointly by the Language and Communication Education Centre of the University of Oulu and the Language Centre of OAMK.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can visit the EU Info Point to learn more about your EU career and language requirements. There is also information about the EU in general. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a panel discussion in cooperation in cooperation with the participation of the European Commission's Head of Citizens' Communications Kati Laitinen.
Speech by the President of the Commission on the State of the EU, 13 September

Talk about the future of Europe in Oulu on 8 September
Academy Research Fellow, Centre for European Studies, University of Helsinki Timo Miettinen Speech on Europe in Oulu on Friday 8 September. Tietopiste Oulu Village Festival 1.9.
The Oulu Days will be celebrated from 1 to 3 September in different parts of the city and villages. The Northern Ostrobothnia EU Info Point will be present at the Oulu Village Festival in Kuusisaari on Friday 1 September from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Balloons and information about the European Union are distributed in the EU Info Point tent. There is a crafting and drawing point for the little ones in the family. Those who have completed the questionnaire at the tent will also participate in the raffle.
At the event, which is open to everyone and free of charge, you can get to know more than 50 different stakeholders, such as the multicultural centre Villa Victor, Kiertokaari, Oulu Theatre and numerous Regional Assemblys.
The program is abundant on two different stages and at 17 o'clock there will be a bridge dance on the bridge at Kissankoskinranta. folk-like traditions are directed and led by Rällä band.
