Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment published in early 2021 National Battery Strategy 2025. The strategy aims to promote business renewal, innovation and growth capacity, as well as to pave the way for new investments and jobs. The strategy places a strong emphasis on ensuring expertise in the battery sector and strengthening cutting-edge research in Finland.

The strong growth of the battery sector in recent years is the result of international and national targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
