Singing about the miserable in Finland -stage work

The song about the miserable in Suomaa is a stage work inspired by nature photographer legend Hannu Hautala's peek pictures. Dancer Heli-Maria Latola and songwriter-artist, music video director Jukka Takalo have written a story that they also present themselves.

In the work, the big questions of nature and the destinies of individuals are intertwined in cooperation with the deepening relationship between the crane and the nature photographer. Eventually, the story of one Peatlands grows to touch the whole world in cooperation with its contradictions.

The genre of the work, which combines contemporary dance, nature photographs, video and cullet music, could be described as an intimate symphony or a cullet opera. Veera Vuorenpää's multisensory staging brings its own spices to the work. The marshmallow smells and the berries taste good. Close your eyes and hear the call of Kurkiaura Airways.

The stage work is part of the events of the Northern Ostrobothnia centenary year.

The screenings are free of charge, and the performances are offered by the Regional Assembly of Oulu Region and the Summer University of Northern Ostrobothnia.
